Man City ace Phil Foden hits out at critics in new social media message
Man City forward Phil Foden has taken to social media to remind critics of his accomplishments amid a poor run of form.
Foden, 24, has fallen out of favour at Man City, featuring in 10 of their 13 Premier League games, only six of which have been from the first whistle.
The attacking midfielder has made just one league goal contribution in a total of 629 minutes of action, the assist for John Stones’ controversial winner in the 2-1 victory over Wolves.
The England international is struggling to recapture last season’s form just six months after winning the 2023-24 Premier League Player of the Season award.
Foden has found some solace on the continent, however, scoring three goals and providing one assist in five appearances, yielding a total of 372 minutes of game time.
Man City star Phil Foden out for redemption after dismal start to the season
Pep Guardiola and his side find themselves in unchartered territory, winless in their last seven games across all competitions—six of them ending in defeat. This dismal run marks the worst stretch in the Spaniard’s illustrious managerial career.
Arne Slot’s Liverpool side are running away at the top of the table, nine points clear of second-placed Arsenal and eleven points above City.
Frustrated by the recent criticism, Foden took to Instagram to remind people of the trophies he’s won with his boyhood club since breaking into the team in his teens.

The current champions will be hoping to get back on track on Wednesday (December 4) as they take on high-flying Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
Guardiola’s side face a make-or-break December, with eight games across all competitions, including clashes with Man United and Juventus, throughout the festive period.
