Man City cited as Tottenham told to accept £130m Kane offer by expert

Tottenham should take the risk of losing Harry Kane on a free transfer next summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed that Spurs have another 12 months to persuade the Englishman to stay at the club.

The 29-year-old has entered the final year of his contract and has been heavily linked with a move away from the London club this summer.

Earlier this month (8 July), Football Insider revealed that the England international has been offered a “jaw-dropping” new contract that would improve upon his current £200,000-a-week wages and make him one of the Premier League’s highest paid players.

Kane has been the subject of interest from Bayern Munich who have already seen one bid for the star striker rejected as Spurs chiefs hold out for a fee of around £100million

With his future in doubt, Agbonlahor believes that Tottenham must be demand a high fee for the striker.

“I wouldn’t let Kane go for less than £130million, that’s what you’re looking at,” he told Football Insider.

“This is because money is not everything, and Spurs are loaded.

“They’ve got a Beyonce concert there every week, they are fine for money!

“Kane didn’t cost them anything as he came from their academy, so why would you sell a player that got you 30 league goals in a team that were miles off it?

“If he was a City player, wow, he will score 40 or 50 goals.

“They’ve got Richarlison who only does a pigeon dance, and can’t hit a barn door, as he got one goal in 27 games.

“Spurs have a year to persuade him to stay at the club, and if they can’t it is worth taking the hit.”
