Man City could be on brink of signing next Sergio Aguero after Sky update – pundit
Erling Haaland could emulate the success of Sergio Aguero at Man City, according to Kevin Campbell.
However, the former Arsenal striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted there is no guarantees that the “brilliant” Haaland, 21, would succeed in the Premier League.
Man City and locked in a battle to sign the Borussia Dortmund goal machine this summer.

According to Sky Sports (20 April), Pep Guardiola’s side are ready to trigger Haaland’s £62million release clause.
It comes after this site revealed (12 February) that City are in pole position to sign the Norway international this summer.
Campbell believes City’s failure to sign a striker in last summer’s window could still could back to haunt them though.
“Could he be as good as Aguero? We are not too sure,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“Great strikers have come to the Premier League and struggled. Not everyone can cut it in the Premier League. We have to tread carefully even though Haaland is a brilliant young striker.
“Aguero was absolutely phenomenal at Man City? Can Haaland be that guy? Of course he can but I think City have missed a trick.

“They should have signed Kane last summer. Not having a recognised striker could cost them this season. Haaland might come a season too late in that respect.
“If City had a recognised striker they would have been even better this season. They needed a striker before Grealish.”
