Man City Exclusive: Jack Grealish set for showdown talks

Man City star Jack Grealish will seek assurances from manager Pep Guardiola this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The 29-year-old has been scarcely involved for City this term, four years on from his £100million move to the Etihad Stadium from Aston Villa.

It is believed Grealish remains hopeful of breaking back into Guardiola‘s plans but may have to consider his future if he doesn’t get positive news from the Spaniard in forthcoming showdown talks.

The latest blow for the England international came on Saturday (10 May), when he was an unused substitute as Man City chased a winner in their 0-0 draw with Southampton.

Grealish wants assurances over Man City future

Grealish has not seen action in each of the last four Premier League games and has started just seven top-flight matches this term.

His contract with Man City runs until June 2027.

He has hit three goals and five assists in 31 appearances across all competitions this term and could yet help City lift the FA Cup in Saturday’s (17 May) final against Crystal Palace.

Grealish has won three Premier League titles and the Champions League during his time with Man City.

Man City could beat Liverpool to Juventus star

Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (2 May) that Man City are leading Liverpool in the race to sign Juventus full-back Andrea Cambiaso this summer.

If they fail to qualify for the Champions League, Juventus will be forced to sell players to raise funds and would accept £40-50million for the full-back.

Cambiaso can play on both sides of the defence and was a top target for City in the January transfer window.
