Man City fans have been left shocked after Pep Guardiola has confirmed Kevin de Bruyne will not leave the club this summer.
Despite reports yesterday stating the attacking midfielder was set to move to Saudi Arabia this summer, his manager has ended speculation.
During a press conference, Guardiola revealed that the Belgium international will not leave the Premier League champions this summer.
It’s a significant U-turn from what fans had been preparing themselves for in this window, and it has been met with positive reactions from City fans.
The 33-year-old has been at City since 2015 and is entering the final year of his contract with the Premier League outfit.
With De Bruyne not leaving this summer, it means he will be available on a free transfer next year unless he signs a contract extension.

De Bruyne has played a vital part in City’s recent success, having featured in 382 games for the club.
Throughout those appearances, he scored 102 goals in all competitions while providing 170 assists.
