Man City fans ‘bid farewell’ to Ederson after his new ‘goodbye’ message
Ederson’s message after Manchester City’s win over Bournemouth has left many convinced that his time is up at the Etihad Stadium.
Pep Guardiola‘s side returned the Premier League winners’ circle with a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium, as Man City bounced back from their 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final.
Omar Marmoush‘s stunner got City off to the perfect start, and Bernardo Silva added a second prior to half-time before Nico Gonzalez came off the bench for Kevin De Bruyne to net his first Premier League goal.
Mateo Kovacic‘s red card for a pull on Evanilson saw De Bruyne withdrawn early on his final appearance at the Etihad, while Matheus Nunes’ mistake allowed Daniel Jebbison to score a consolation goal late on.

Ederson sends ‘special’ message ahead of Man City exit
Denied a clean sheet at the death by Jebbison’s goal, Ederson otherwise had a somewhat comfortable 90 minutes in a match dominated by the tributes and celebrations of De Bruyne’s last City home game.
However, the Brazilian goalkeeper could follow De Bruyne out of the door at the Etihad this summer, after Stefan Borson told Football Insider that City are now ready to accept a £25million offer for Ederson.
City’s long-term number one posted on Instagram at full-time (20 May) as he looked back on a “special night” at the Etihad, and shared images of some emotional scenes with his family on the Etihad pitch.
Man City fans react to Ederson message – ‘he’s waving goodbye’
Ederson’s future at the Etihad has been debated for some time, and Football Insider revealed last month that big-money offers from the Saudi Pro League will see the Brazilian finally leave Man City this summer.
The 31-year-old could be replaced by PSG shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma if City advance their interest in the Italy number one, but several supporters weren’t ready to say goodbye to Ederson just yet.
Some fans suggested that Ederson‘s contribution to the Etihad Stadium’s trophy haul was overshadowed by the celebrations of De Bruyne’s career, with one upset that he didn’t “get a chance to say goodbye”.
Other supporters were hopeful that they haven’t seen the last of the Brazilian, and hoped City could “convince him to stay” after “not seeing many links for a while”, but that scenario seems more unlikely by the week.

Low-key sad that the likes of Ederson and any other players who are leaving don’t get a chance to say goodbye.
