Meanwhile, he has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia after their strong interest during the summer, and many have insisted City should now cash in.

Speculation over Ederson’s future has been rife after Guardiola decided to give Ederson a shot at starting in goal against Liverpool, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace.
What had previously been a nailed-on position in City’s starting XI had been revoked, leading to speculation over where his long-term future would lie.
Now, fans have taken to social media to call for his immediate departure, with some insisting he should move to Saudi Arabia while others demanded he be dropped.
