Man City fans destroy ‘insane’ Erling Haaland after what he did v Everton

Man City fans have torn into Erling Haaland after his performance in the Premier League clash against Everton at the Etihad.

Pep Guardiola’s side have now won just one of their last 13 games after drawing 1-1 at home, with first-half goals coming via an own goal from Jarrad Branthwaite and Illiman Ndiaye’s strike.

However, it was the events of the second half which grabbed the attention of the home supporters after Jordan Pickford saved Erling Haaland’s penalty.

The 24-year-old has now gone four games without a goal in all competitions, and has scored just one in his last seven, a run stretching back to the 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on 1 December.

Pressure on his performances has begun to grow as a result, with fans and pundits calling for him to contribute more to game when he is not scoring.

Previously, Haaland’s extraordinary goalscoring record had covered up for some underwhelming performances as far as City’s general play is concerned.

Now that his goals have seemingly dried up among a dreadful run of form at the Etihad, his overall displays are once again being called into question.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on 24 December that Haaland has paved the way for his City exit and is believed to be partly responsible for a poor dressing room atmosphere.

City’s run of form, coinciding with Haaland’s difficulties in front of goal, has led to growing frustration amongst the supporters at the Etihad.

Taking to social media in the wake of their draw with Everton, City fans were left raging at the striker as they labelled him “hideous” and “absolutely terrible”.
