Man City fans rip into ‘awful’ Rico Lewis as dreadful stats emerge
Man City fans were left furious with Rico Lewis after his performance in their 4-0 humiliation at the hands of Tottenham.
A brace from James Maddison and goals from Pedro Porro and Brennan Johnson rocked City at the Etihad Stadium and handed the defending Premier League champions their fifth consecutive defeat.
City were unable to put any pressure on Liverpool’s five-point lead in the title race, with the Reds still to play this weekend.
Lewis struggled to handle Maddison throughout the game as the 20-year-old ended up being pulled off by Pep Guardiola in the 74th minute.
The England international only won 33 percent of his tackles throughout the game while he also committed four fouls in a bid to break up the play.
Lewis only managed to win 55 percent of his ground duels, and City fans were less than impressed by what they saw from the young midfielder.

Lewis has become a regular in the City side this season due to Rodri’s injury, but fans claimed that the “Rico Lewis experiment must stop” as others claimed that he is the “most overrated youngster” they’ve ever seen.
