‘Man City have colossal January transfer window problem’ – Fans shocked by news
Man City fans are convinced the club will have to sign a midfielder, despite advanced talks for Omar Marmoush and Abdukodir Khusanov.

Football Insider revealed on 6 January that City have held preliminary talks with Frankfurt star Marmoush and his representatives over a potential transfer.
However, fans are calling for the club to prioritise a midfielder, as Rodri remains sidelined. He suffered an ACL injury back in September, and there is currently no back-up for him.
Man City fans make their voices heard over January transfer strategy
Marmoush has enjoyed a breakout season with Frankfurt, scoring 13 goals in 15 Bundesliga appearances. His impressive form makes him a likely candidate to replace Julian Alvarez, who left for Atletico Madrid in the summer.
Pep Guardiola’s side has been plagued by an injury crisis in defence, with Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake, John Stones, and Manuel Akanji all being sidelined this season.
At just 20 years old, Khusanov could provide valuable depth to an injury-prone defensive line.
However, City supporters are clear about where the club’s focus should lie: midfield.

Bruno Guimaraes remains a long-term target for Guardiola, and the club certainly has the financial resources to secure a deal.
But talks have been quiet regarding a defensive midfielder, as the club looks to wrap up deals for Marmoush and Khusanov instead.
One fan expressed excitement about the potential double deal but stressed, “We need a midfielder first” while another simply asked, “What about midfield?”
One fan made it clear they would be disappointed if the window closed with just those two signings, stating that “no central or defensive midfielder is a colossal problem”.
