Man City issued ‘100 per cent’ Riyad Mahrez claim by pundit as winger exit on the cards
Kevin Campbell has urged Man City to get Riyad Mahrez tied down to a new long-term contract this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker said it is imperative that Pep Guardiola’s side retain the 31-year-old with Raheem Sterling likely to exit.
Mahrez and Sterling are fast approaching the final 12 months of their contract at the Etihad.

Sterling is the subject of strong interest from Chelsea and it appears highly unlikely that he will sign renew terms with the Premier League champions.
However, according to The Sun (25 June), Mahrez is ready to put pen to paper on a new three-year agreement in Manchester and effectively commit the rest of his career to the club.
The winger is said to earn £160,000-a-week on his current contract.
When asked by Football Insider if City had to do everything to keep Mahrez with Sterling potentially leaving, Campbell said: “100 per cent.
“Mahrez has proved that he is a match winner. He is also one of the ultimate squad players. There is times when he doesn’t start but when he comes off the bench he makes an impact on the game. He can make a real difference.
“Everyone seems to like him at City. He seems very comfortable there.
“You have to tie these guys down. You do not want to lose match-winners and Mahrez is certainly one of those.”
In other news, a finance guru has claimed Man City are set to rake in a “big” fee as “super” deal in the works.
