Man City news: Pundit makes emphatic Jack Grealish prediction after Pep Guardiola reveal
Paul Robinson is confident Jack Grealish has turned a corner at Man City and is “a better player than last year.”
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one claimed “there is definitely more to come” from the 27-year-old.
Grealish made his return from injury in a 4-0 win over Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday night (6 September).
The attacking midfielder had not featured since 13 August because of a ligament problem.
Speaking to club media (4 September), Pep Guardiola said the England international will be “very important” over the course of the season.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on Grealish’s prospects in the 2022-23 campaign, Robinson said: “He’s not got to the level expected.
“He will know himself that he can get to a higher level.
“It is a different role for him at City. He is part of an elite squad rather than being the best player in an XI. He has admitted himself that it’s been tougher than expected.

“I think we will start to see the best out of him now that he has one season under his belt. There is definitely more to come. There is a lot of expectation.
“He is better than he has showed. There is already signs already that he is a better player than last year.”
