Man City news: Pundit ‘wowed’ by Bernardo Silva quotes – ‘he’s not happy’
Bernardo Silva’s post-match comments after Man City beat Real Madrid sums up the club’s “elite mentality”.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Tuesday’s (26 April) “incredible” game.
Man City beat Real Madrid 4-3 with Silva, 27, scoring the winning goal.
Despite winning and taking an advantage into next week’s second leg, the Portgual star told BT Sport after the game, “we could have won with a better result”.
Kenny was blown away by the attacker’s attitude considering his side had just won a Champions League semi-final.
“What an incredible game of football,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“That’s exactly why we all watch it. Then you have Bernardo Silva after the game talking about how City should have won by more.
“You have one foot in the Champions League final and he’s not happy with the result, wow.
“That’s the elite mentality they have there, it’s never good enough. Even if they are beating Real Madrid.
“What a brilliant player he is by the way, what a finish for the goal he scored.
“It’s a brilliant result for them but the job isn’t done. If they aren’t happy with the 4-3 then maybe they will go and be even better in the next leg.”

Man City travel to the Bernabeu on Wednesday (4 May).
However, before that, they face Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday (30 April).
