Man City outcast Jack Grealish reacts to message from Barcelona star Marcus Rashford

Man City’s Jack Grealish reacted to a message from Barcelona’s newest signing Marcus Rashford.

Having fallen out of favour under Ruben Amorim, the England international is looking to reignite his career and has joined the Catalan giants.

Rashford’s move to Barcelona has seen him join on loan initially, with Hansi Flick’s side holding a buy-option.

The move will see the 27-year-old join up with young star Lamine Yamal as the Blaugrana look to secure a third La Liga crown in four years.

However, one issue that is beginning to rear its head is whether Barcelona will be able to register Rashford.

The Catalonian side are currently under a registration embargo from La Liga and will have to sell before being able to register the winger and another new signing, one-time Aston Villa target Joan Garcia.

Marcus Rashford heads to Japan with Barcelona

Rashford is heading to Japan with his Barcelona teammates for their pre-season tour of Asia.

The England international shared two images of himself on his travels on Instagram, captioned: “We have touched down in Japan.”

The post was liked by Grealish, but fans will have to wait before seeing Rashford in action for Barcelona as the winger cannot feature for his new side, thanks to the club’s registration issues.

Jack Grealish needs a loan similar to Marcus Rashford

Football Insider Verdict

Rashford’s loan move to Villa last season was a brilliant career move, and one that Grealish and other players with ailing careers should look to mimic.

The United loanee made a football-focused decision, prioritising his game time and place in a settled side, and it has now paid off.

Rashford is back in the England set-up and will be a key part of one of Europe’s most exciting club teams, registration permitting.

Man City are keen to part ways with Grealish, which comes as no surprise after yet another disappointing season for the former Villain.

However, with a World Cup on the horizon, the 29-year-old should be inclined to do everything he can to find a loan move to a side that can offer him what Villa offered Rashford last year.
