Man City postpone new contract talks with Kevin De Bruyne – sources

Man City and Kevin De Bruyne have decided to postpone talks over a new contract, sources have told Football Insider.

The 32-year-old has one year remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium.

It is understood that initial talks between both parties have been held, but both City and De Bruyne would prefer to focus on the end of the current season before resuming negotiations.

De Bruyne is said to be happy at Manchester City and willing to extend his stay at the club with Guardiola also “desperate” to keep hold of the Belgian playmaker.

As revealed by Football Insider, there is concrete interest in De Bruyne from the Saudi Pro League over a summer move with City braced for a bid of over £100million.
