Man City star Erling Haaland sends Strand Larsen message after Wolves beat Tottenham
Jørgen Strand Larsen got a reaction from Man City’s Erling Haaland after scoring in Wolves’ 4-2 win over Tottenham at Molineux Stadium.
Vítor Pereira’s side made it four wins in a row in the Premier League as they capitalised on an error-ridden performance from Tottenham.
Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario was at fault as the host’s raced into an early two goal lead, when the 28-year-old parried a free-kick into the path of Rayan Aït-Nouri for the wing-back to volley home after 85 seconds.
The second goal came in disastrous fashion as Vicario palmed the ball onto Djed Spence, who could do nothing about it deflecting into the back of the net.
Ange Postecoglou’s struggling team had a brief lifeline in the match, this time through an error from Nelson Semedo, with Mathys Tel not knowing much about his finish at the back post.
However, the returning Cristian Romero showed his lack of rhythm when he allowed Ait-Nouri to square his pass across the face of goal for Strand Larsen to tap in before substitute Richarlison scored from close range five minutes from full-time.
Just 101 seconds later, Matheus Cunha capitalised on Lucas Bergvall’s misjudgment to end any fears of a late Tottenham comeback.

In a message from Strand Larsen’s official instagram account on Sunday (13 April), the striker said: “Hehehe… goosebumps that last photo, thanks [Rayan Aït-Nouri]”
Erling Haaland, who has missed Manchester City’s last three games through an ankle injury, replied with a comment “Mannnnn” alongside two fire emojis.
The post also received reactions from Premier League attacking trio, Cunha, Oscar Bobb and Bournemouth’s Evanilson.

After a difficult start to life in England, Pereira‘s Wolves have now won four in a row in the top flight for the first time since 1972.
It’s quite the turnaround for the Portuguese coach as they now sit 14 points above the drop in 16th with six games remaining.
A huge part of Wolves’ upturn in form is Strand Larsen’s return to fitness with the striker notching five goals in his last four appearances.
