‘Man City star Jack Grealish could agree big-money deal – just like Salah’
Jack Grealish’s Man City future is in serious doubt ahead of the summer transfer window following his lack of action in the 2024-25 campaign.
As per Sky Sports (25 May), Pep Guardiola has admitted the 29-year-old could leave City but insisted his absence from the side is “nothing personal”.
Grealish was not in the matchday squad for the final day win over Fulham and made only 16 starts in the 2024-25 season.
Football Insider revealed last week (22 May) that Grealish has told friends he does not expect to be at Man City next season.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – has had his say on the England international sealing an “incredible exit”.
‘Lure of Saudi offer will be incredible’ for Grealish, says Wyness
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness claimed Grealish would be a “crowd-pleaser” in the Saudi Pro League – and could attract a similar offer to the proposal tabled for Mohamed Salah, who eventually signed a new contract with Liverpool.
It has been widely reported that Salah was offered a total salary package of £500million to make the move to the Middle East at the end of his previous Anfield deal.
Wyness claimed numbers like that will be “very attractive” for Grealish.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Grealish is a game-changer and he could be a real crowd-pleaser in Saudi.
“The lure of the offer will be incredible.
“We know the sort of money they offered Mohamed Salah, I don’t think Jack would be too far behind.
“It won’t be quite as big, because Salah had the Muslim factor, but it will be a big offer.
“It’ll come down to whether he feels that he has to go for the cash. The numbers can be very attractive.”

Man City set for Arsenal transfer battle
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (24 May) that Man City now face competition from Arsenal in their bid to sign Morgan Gibbs-White.
Man City have turned their attention towards Gibbs-White as their top target with their move for Florian Wirtz on the verge of collapse.
Arsenal are set to compete with City for the playmaker’s signature after Forest failed to secure qualification for the Champions League or Europa League.
