
Man City star Jack Grealish has been ‘shut up’ after ‘unprofessional’ comments – pundit
Kevin Campbell has heaped praise on Newcastle United attacker Miguel Almiron for his “excellent” display against Man City.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker suggested the 28-year-old “shut up” Jack Grealish with his goal at St. James’ Park.
Eddie Howe’s side drew 3-3 with Man City on Sunday.
Almiron scored his first goal of the season in the clash.
The Paraguay international was mocked by Man City midfielder Jack Grealish at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
As quoted by JOE (24 May), Grealish criticised his teammate Riyad Mahrez for his performance against Aston Villa and said “he played like Almiron.”
The £100million man was labelled “unprofessional” after for his comments.
When asked by Football Insider if Almiron will have been thinking about Grealish’s remarks after scoring, Campbell said: “It would have felt that extra bit sweeter.
“The way that he played was a big plus. Almiron has been very good at Newcastle. He has definitely got something.
“That goal will do his confidence the world of good. It was touch and go whether it was onside or offside but it was rightly given. I thought he was excellent.

“It is also nice to shut up your critics. When you are a player and somebody has a dig it is always nice to score and shut them up.
“Listen, he is a fans favourite up at Newcastle.”
