Man City fans want to “end the season” after John Stones’ latest injury setback during their clash against Real Madrid.

However, just eight minutes into the game at the Santiago Bernabeu, he was forced off with an injury, with Nathan Ake coming on as his replacement.
His latest setback has sparked frustration among City supporters, many of whom are growing tired of his repeated injury struggles and the growing list of fitness concerns within Pep Guardiola’s squad.

The defender has made 19 appearances this season, contributing two goals and two assists in 1,126 minutes of football.
However, his latest setback is a major blow, especially given City’s ongoing injury struggles in defence. Manuel Akanji recently revealed he has undergone surgery, while both Ruben Dias and Ake have had fitness concerns this season.

While Stones is still regarded as an important player, City appear to be planning for the future with their recent defensive signings.
The club brought in 20-year-old Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens and 19-year-old Victor Reis, both of whom can play at centre-back, potentially as long-term replacements.
Guardiola has come under increasing pressure this season, with an early Champions League exit looking likely and inconsistency in the Premier League leaving the side fourth in the table.
