Man City told to sign ‘perfect’ Joao Cancelo replacement after source’s reveal – Agbonlahor
Achraf Hakimi has been tipped to be the ideal Joao Cancelo replacement at Man City next season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed that Hakimi would be the perfect signing for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on Monday (28 June) that Man City hold a strong interest in the Paris Saint-Germain right-back .
Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the 24-year-old and Hakimi features highly on their shortlist of potential defender signings, but it is believed that the Morocco international, who starred at the World Cup in Qatar last year, would command a big fee.
Hakimi was a regular starter for PSG last season, playing 2832 minutes of football across 39 appearances in all competitions and He contributed to five goals and six assists in the 2022-23 campaign.
With a potential move to City on the cards, Agbonlahor believes that he would be an ideal signing.
“I really rate him, I think he would be perfect,” He told Football Insider.
“Hakimi would fit into that team perfectly, but I don’t think PSG would sell him, as he is one of their best players, so it would be very strange if the French side would just allow him to leave the club.

“If he could go to Man City then wow, especially after talks about Kyle Walker leaving to join Bayern Munich.
“If they could get Hakimi, it would be astonishing as he is an outstanding player.”
