Man City will sign Jude Bellingham 'for 15 years' as superstar makes up his mind - pundit

Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Man City to replace Ilkay Gundogan with Jude Bellingham with the youngster able to light up the Premier League for the next “15 years”.

The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, warned City that the 19-year-old may find a move to Real Madrid more attractive if they formalise their interest.

Sources told this site on Friday (14 April) that Man City are very confident that they lead the race to sign Borussia Dortmund star Bellingham this summer after Liverpool backed out of the running.

City are aware that the England international will cost north of £100million but have built a good rapport with Dortmund following their swoop for Erling Haaland.

This news comes after Football Insider revealed (14 April) that Ilkay Gundogan has made up his mind on quitting Manchester for Barcelona on a free transfer this summer.

Gundogan has worn the armband regularly for Pep Guardiola’s side this season as he guns for his fifth Premier League title.

Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “Gundogan’s going, Bernardo Silva has been talking about going.

“I expect City to win the league and the Champions League this season. That means those two players will have done it all, and they may want to move on and try other leagues.

“In that case, if they leave – City will need midfielders. Why would you not go and get the best – Jude Bellingham?

“You have to keep improving if you want to stay the best.

“City might look at it and think that Bellingham can be at the club for another 15 years.

“I think they’ll go and get him if City offer the right money. The only worry is Real Madrid offering the same package because I think he’d choose them.”
