Man United ace Alejandro Garnacho sends message to Joshua Zirkzee after surprise
Man United sensation Alejandro Garnacho was delighted to see teammate Joshua Zirkzee score a surprise brace in their 4-0 Premier League win over Everton on Sunday (December 1).
Zirkzee, 23, ended his 17-game goal drought, scoring two remarkably similar goals, both after defensive mishaps from Everton first set up by Bruno Fernandes and then by Amad Diallo.
Marcus Rashford bagged the other two, securing a memorable win in Ruben Amorim’s first Premier League game at Old Trafford.
The game against Everton marked Zirkzee’s first league start since their 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace earlier in the season; since then, he has only managed 96 league minutes across seven games.
United have moved into the top half, just four points off the Champions League spots, as Amorim remains unbeaten after three games across all competitions at the helm.
Joshua Zirkzee and Alejandro Garnacho making an impression at Man United
Garnacho, 20, came on just after the hour mark, having starred in United’s nervy 3-2 Europa League win over Bodo/Glimt in midweek, scoring the opener after just 51 seconds.
Amorim seems to have a lot of faith in the young winger, with the win over Sean Dyche’s side marked the first game in which Garnacho didn’t start.
Delighted to see his teammate finally get on the scoresheet, Garnacho took to Instagram to send a short message to Zirkzee.

Garnacho’s six-word message said: “Very happy for you my brother.”
Amorim and his United side will face the first real test of his tenure on Wednesday (December 4) as they travel to London to face Arsenal.
