Man United ace Amad Diallo breaks silence on Rasmus Hojlund bust-up

Man United stars Amad Diallo and Rasmus Hojlund have seemingly made up following their on-field bust-up after their 2-1 Europa League win over Viktoria Plzen on Thursday (December 12).

Hojlund, 21, came off the bench to save the day for Ruben Amorim’s side, scoring a brace to secure a much-needed victory.

Former Burnley striker Matej Vydra opened the scoring after a defensive mix-up between Andre Onana and Matthijs de Ligt just after half-time.

The Danish striker was perfectly positioned to score his first goal, capitalising on the Plzen goalkeeper’s inability to do more than parry Dallio’s shot directly into his path.

Hojlund got his second after some quick thinking from Bruno Fernandes, catching out the opposition defenders with a clever freekick.

The youngster has been the best of United’s forwards so far this season, starting 10 of his 17 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals, and providing one assist in 920 minutes of action.

Amad Diallo shares message of unity after bust-up with Man United teammate Rasmus Hojlind

Diallo, 22, has been another stand-out performer for Man United this season, starting 13 of his 22 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals, and providing six assists in 1225 minutes of action.

The two wonderkids furiously confronted each other after the game with Viktoria Plzen, with both players seemingly upset about a failure to pass to each other.

Speaking after the game, Amorim addressed the clash, saying: “For me, it’s perfect. We need to feel something. If we need to fight each other, it’s like a family. For me, it’s a very, very good sign. We need to feel something and that is important.“

Diallo has since taken to Instagram to share a message of unity, posting an image of the two during the win.

United’s 3-2 Premier League defeat to Nottingham Forest in the previous round of fixtures has seen them drop into 13th with 19 points from their 15 games.

Amorim’s side face a faltering Man City in arguably the most important Manchester derby of Pep Guardiola’s career at the club on Sunday (December 15).
