Man United fan Luke Littler reacts to Andre Onana exit news
Man United fan and darts world champion Luke Littler has reacted to a major update regarding Andre Onana’s future.
The Cameroon international has come under scrutiny since joining the Old Trafford club from Inter back in 2023, courtesy of several goalkeeping errors.
Onana’s poor performance during a 3-1 defeat to Brighton in the Premier League on 19 January saw him dropped for a Europa League clash with Rangers four days later.
Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim faces a vital transfer window after Man United finished just 15th in the top flight last season, while finding an upgrade on his current goalkeeper is a priority.

Littler reacts to Monaco interest in Onana
Onana maintained nine clean sheets in the Premier League last season, which was bettered by the likes of Crystal Palace shot-stopper Dean Henderson and Everton’s Jordan Pickford.
Perhaps it is no surprise, then, that the 29-year-old could be set for the Man United exit door as Amorim looks to eventually restore former glories at Old Trafford.
Sky Sports revealed via Instagram on Friday, 20 June, that French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco are interested in Onana.
The post attracted a like from Man United fan Littler.
Emiliano Martinez set to become major Onana upgrade for Man United
Football Insider verdict
While the Red Devils are set to part company with Onana this summer, Football Insider have exclusively revealed that Man United are pushing to sign Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa.
Andre Onana stats | Premier League 2024/25 |
Appearances | 34 |
Saves | 90 |
Clean sheets | 9 |
The Cameroon international has not enjoyed a stellar season with the North West outfit, whereas Martinez helped Villa reach the Champions League quarter-finals.
Unai Emery’s shot-stopper also played a key role as Argentina won the 2022 World Cup, epitomising his impressive exploits between the sticks.
Amid interest from Man United, Martinez favours a move to Atletico Madrid, after Diego Simeone’s men sealed qualification for the Champions League.
But if the Red Devils can beat the Spanish capital side to the 32-year-old’s signature, convincing him to stay in England, he would be a significant upgrade on Onana.
Meanwhile, Amorim is also keen on bolstering his forward ranks, while Rasmus Hojlund could leave Man United after struggling in the Premier League last term.
