Pundit lambasts Erik ten Hag for treatment of Casemiro and Man United star teammate
Paddy Kenny has slammed Man United manager Erik ten Hag for his treatment of Casemiro and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Premier League goalkeeper “does not understand” why two players of great experience were overlooked against Man City.
Casemiro and Ronaldo were named on the bench for the Red Devils’ trip to the Etihad on Sunday (2 October).

Erik ten Hag brought Casemiro on for Scott McTominay in the second half but Ronaldo was an unused substitute.
Speaking to Sky Sports (3 October), Ten Hag revealed he did not bring on Ronaldo “out of respect” for the career the Portugal international has had.
United were 4-0 down at half-time and ended up losing the derby 6-3.
When asked by Football Insider if Ten Hag should have started Casemiro in the middle of the park, Kenny said: “100 per cent.
“Why would you not have him in there? Casemiro was signed for big-money and he is sat on the bench.
“I do not understand Erik ten Hag’s selection sometimes, I really don’t.
“The way he has treated Ronaldo as well, I just do not understand it. He scored 25 goals last season. He was playing in a bad team as well.”

Ronaldo has scored once in eight appearances across all competitions this season.
Casemiro has played six times for the Red Devils.
