Man United could appoint Pochettino 'right now' after broadcaster reveals contact underway
Mauricio Pochettino’s “head has been turned” by Man United and he could take over at Old Trafford imminently.
That is the view former Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 49-year-old potentially replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
United are on the hunt for a new manager after Solskjaer was relieved of his duties on Sunday.
According to talkSPORT‘s Alex Crook (24th November), Paris Saint-Germain have rejected an initial approach from United for their manager.
Sky Sports revealed on Monday (22nd November) that the ex-Tottenham boss was “interested” in the United job.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the latest, Robinson said: “From PSG’s point of view, they will not be happy.

“The noises coming out about Pochettino suggest that his head has been turned. As PSG, you do not want your manager interested in another job.
“I find it hard to see why he would want to leave PSG with the players there. He has a great opportunity to win the league and the Champions League there. He has got three of four of the world’s best players at his disposal yet is interested in managing Manchester United.
“If I was PSG, I would be very disgruntled. I would want to move him on sooner rather than later. Is there an opportunity where [Zinedine] Zidane could go into PSG to replace him?
“If United want Pochettino, I think they can get him now. I think there could be a problem at PSG.”
Pochettino was in Manchester on Wednesday as PSG slipped to a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City.
As relayed by Sky Sports, the PSG manager refused to be drawn on “rumours” linking him with the United job.
