Man United dressing room source reveals how the squad feel about Casemiro

Man United midfielder Casemiro has been under fire recently from pundits and fans after his performance against Liverpool, and now the squad’s thoughts on him have been revealed.

A dressing room source told the Manchester Evening News that the squad believes his decline is a consequence of the club’s own struggles.

It is believed that the Brazil international didn’t sign up for a second season trying to qualify for the Champions League.

The 20-time champions finished eighth last season in the Premier League but did manage to win the FA Cup at the end of the campaign.

The 32-year-old has been linked with a move away all summer, but he is now expected to remain at Old Trafford.

Casemiro’s contract with the Premier League giants expires in 2026, and his long-term future is uncertain.

Man United could replace Casemiro when Premier League football returns

Casemiro has started every game this season for Erik ten Hag, with the 3-0 defeat against Liverpool being the only one he hasn’t played the entire 90 minutes.

The defensive midfielder was pulled off at half-time against the Reds after having a role in some of Liverpool’s goals.

However, Casemiro could now end up being replaced this weekend after United signed Manuel Ugarte.
