Man United explore triple raid after secret talks in London – sources
Man United director Sir Alex Fergsuon has met with Dougie Freedman in London to explore Crystal Palace’s position on selling Marc Guehi, Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
United are plotting a triple raid on the Palace stars, with former manager Ferguson, acting in his role as director and club ambassador, holding secet talks with the south London club’s director of football in Mayfair about their availability.
Sources say Guehi, 23, is on the Premier League giants’ shortlist of centre-back targets, while Eze, 25 and Olise, 22, are viewed as potential options as they look to add attacking reinforcements this summer.
Reports have suggested United are now willing to sell the majority of their first-team players once the transfer window as Sir Jim Ratcliffe looks to overhaul the squad.
Guehi’s deal at Selhurst Park is due to expire in 2026, with Eze and Olise under contract until 2027.
Man United could sign three Crystal Palace players this summer
The trio have drawn the attention of various top clubs in recent months after putting in a number of impressive performances for Palace.
Eze and Olise were standout performers across the campaign as they registered 33 goal contributions between them.
Football Insider revealed last month the Eagles are looking for a fee in the region of £70million to prize Eze away from south London, while Olise’s release clause is also believed to be around the £70million mark.
Man United have now made their interest known in the trio after Ferguson met with Freedman to discuss the possibility of them heading to Old Trafford this summer.
It’s still unknown whether Erik ten Hag will be the man in charge of the Red Devils next season as the club’s hierarchy are currently conducting a full season review ahead of deciding on his future.
Football Insider revealed on 28 May the Dutchman will likely still be sacked as Old Trafford chiefs have been disappointed by the club’s Premier League performances.
