Man United fans: Casemiro ‘will never play again’ after what Roy Keane said
Man United fans are insisting Casemiro will never play for the club again after Roy Keane ripped into the team during the half-time break.
The defensive midfielder was at fault for both of Liverpool’s first-half goals as United fell to a 3-0 defeat at home against their bitter rivals – and was dragged off after 45 minutes.
Keane was understandably raging at half-time seeing his club torn apart, with the man playing in his old role the one to blame.
“Same old problems,” he fumed, “Leopards and spots. Man United looked very open, and they got away with the first goal.
“Mistakes from Casemiro, for all his experience. They are all over the place. Casemiro must be aware of what’s around him…
“Casemiro, for that incident [the second goal], he’s got to do it quickly. For the first goal, he’s got to take a touch.”
Supporters joined the former United captain in his anger, while many insisted it may be time for the club to call time on the defensive midfielder’s Old Trafford career.
Man United fans rage at Casemiro v Liverpool after what Roy Keane said
After a series of disappointing displays towards the end of last season and throughout their pre-season preparations, Casemiro has faced plenty of criticism for his displays.
However, this performance may prove to be the straw that broke the camel’s back as Erik ten Hag felt it necessary to bring on 20-year-old Toby Collyer at the break.
Taking to social media in reaction to both Keane’s comments and Casemiro’s performance in general, supporters labelled him “dreadful” and insisted “he is finished”.
