Man United fans explode at ‘coward’ Ruben Amorim after what they saw v Spurs
Man United fans have been left raging at Ruben Amorim after his decision during the Premier League clash v Tottenham.
Amorim’s side fell to a frustrating 1-0 defeat away from home as James Maddison found the back of the net 13 minutes into his return from injury.
The result saw Spurs climb to 12th in the table while United dropped to 15th, having won just eight, drawn five and lost 12 of their 25 league games so far this season.
However, it was not their league position nor the poor display which left the travelling supporters angry at the boss, but his lack of trust in the bench.
An injury crisis at Old Trafford meant eight of the nine bench players for United were teenagers, with Victor Lindelof the only senior option for Amorim to call upon.
However, rather than take a risk and change the team with the scoreline at 1-0, he made just one change to bring Chido Obi-Martin off the bench.
Even that decision, though, did not go down well with the United faithful as the new arrival from Arsenal was handed just a couple of minutes to prove himself before full-time.
Tottenham defeat leaves Ruben Amorim scrambling
Fans have been left searching for excuses and people to blame in the wake of yet another defeat, as Amorim’s side have won just three of their last 10 in the league.
An injury crisis did them no favours, but Amorim’s continued commitment to playing in his style and refusing to adapt to his options added to their struggles.

However, the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Andre Onana and Alejandro Garnacho have all receiced stick on social media in the wake of the defeat.
Man United fans tear into Ruben Amorim after what they saw
While the United fanbase overall remains largely behind the manager, there are a number of gripes and frustrations popping up behind the scenes.
The latest of these is his lack of trust in the young players, even those he has picked to travel with the squad, despite the situation on the pitch.
Taking to social media following the 1-0 defeat to Tottenham, supporters made their concerns heard as Amorim was labelled “cowardly” and “embarrassing”.
