Man United fans: ‘Finished’ Luke Shaw ‘must be sold’ after Brentford display
Man United fans are insisting Luke Shaw must be allowed to leave the club following his display in the Premier League clash against Brentford.
Ruben Amorim’s side fell to a 4-3 defeat at the Gtech Community Stadium after Mason Mount’s goal was countered by a Luke Shaw own-goal and Kevin Schade header in the first half.
After the break, Schade and Yoane Wissa each found the net to put the hosts 4-1 up, meaning Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo’s strikes were too little, too late.
However, despite the glut of goal on display, much of the focus of the travelling supporters was set on the performance of Shaw.
The left-back made just his second start of the season across all competitions, but was clearly rusty and struggled to impact the game as a result.
Following his performance, which saw him score an unfortunate own-goal, and his recent injury history, United fans are now insisting he is “finished” at this level.

Man United to make Luke Shaw decision
Former United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in December that Man United must make a difficult decision about Shaw’s future this summer.
The left-back will still have two years remaining on his contract come June, but his lack of first-team involvement and constant injury issues are a major concern.
Brown told Football Insider that Man United haven’t been honest about Shaw and the extent of his injuries after multiple setbacks this season.
Various hamstring and calf issues have kept him out of the side, with an apparent “calf strain” keeping him out for 20 games between August and November 2024.
He then missed another 26 games between April and his return last month.
Luke Shaw slammed after what he did v Brentford
United fans were left raging at Amorim after Matthijs de Ligt limped off with an injury during the first half at the Gtech,
As a result of that injury blow, Shaw’s new left-sided centre-back role is likely to be all the more important ahead of crucial Europa League fixtures this month.
However, in the wake of a frustrating performance against Brentford, fans have taken to social media to express their anger, labelling him “finished” and “terrible”.
