Man United fans: Mason Mount ‘out for months’ in ‘devastating’ injury blow

Man United fans are convinced Mason Mount will be ruled out for “months” after picking up an injury in the clash v Man City at the Etihad.

Ruben Amorim’s side picked up a fantastic 2-1 win against their bitter rivals, having been trailing 1-0 until the 88th minute after Josko Gvardiol’s goal, before a Bruno Fernandes penalty and a strike from Amad Diallo flipped the result on its head.

However, United were dealt an early blow in the first half after Mount was forced off with an injury after just 14 minutes, adding to his nightmare spell at United.

Since making the move to Old Trafford in 2023, the 25-year-old has missed a combined 30 games through injury and has made just 32 appearances in total.

Following the arrival of Amorim, coinciding with his return to fitness, it looked like the former Chelsea man would have the chance to establish himself as a key player.

Now, though, his latest injury blow has seemingly ruled out any chance of being able to stamp his authority and earn a place in United’s regular starting XI.

The injury inspired plenty of frustration from the travelling United supporters, with many torn about whether to lend their support or express their anger.

Mount arrived at Old Trafford in a highly-anticipated move from Chelsea, but has failed to make an impact since the move and has left many fans frustrated.

His injury history and general lack of game time since the move looked set to have been solved with the backing of Amorim who has spoken glowingly about his talents.

However, after his latest injury blow which was described as “gutting” and “devastating” by fans, they are now expecting him to be ruled out for an extended period once more.
