Man United fans more convinced than ever by Manuel Ugarte as new details emerge
Manuel Ugarte has been backed to “flourish” under Ruben Amorim at Man United after his impressive display for Uruguay against Brazil.
The 23-year-old joined the Premier League giants during the summer transfer window but only managed to start three fixtures in the league under Erik ten Hag.
The defensive midfielder caught people’s attention with his performance against Brazil as the two teams battled out a 1-1 draw.
Ugarte boasted an 88 per cent pass accuracy, and a perfect tackle success rate while also making five clearances and 47 touches throughout the game.
United fans now believe that the midfielder is expected to kick on under the new manager, who officially took charge of the club at the start of this week.
Ugarte does have a past working alongside Amorim as he played under the 39-year-old at Sporting CP.
Man United supporters expect big things from Manuel Ugarte
United supporters admitted that Ugarte’s numbers “look amazing” from the recent international fixture as others claimed he will “be even better under Amorim.”
The 20-time champions will be back in action on Sunday (24 November) against Ipswich Town.
