Man United fans outraged by club’s ‘disgraceful’ new transfer plan
Man United supporters have showcased their outrage after a new report has revealed further cuts are expected to take place.
According to the Daily Mail, the 20-time champions are set to make a further 100-200 redundancies to staff as part of a wide range of cost-cutting measures.
The decision being taken by United’s ownership is aimed at freeing up cash for Ruben Amorim to spend on the first team in the summer transfer window to try and get the club back to competing for title.
Man United staff are currently not aware of the situation and the news is expected to be broken to them in the near future regarding their futures.
INEOS and Jim Ratcliffe are aiming to try make the business leaner to ensure the focus goes onto the team.
United are also trying to be more compliant with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules, with the aim of avoiding any possibility points deductions being at the forefront of the decision-making.
This is the latest in a series of cuts by the club
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider back in January that Man United employees have grievances against Ratcliffe due to the ongoing situation behind the scenes at the club.
Ticket prices have been hiked during his time in charge while there have been widespread redundancies and staff Christmas parties being cancelled.
The club have also decided to cut Sir Alex Ferguson’s multi-million ambassadorial contract in another decision made to save money.
Man United fans are furious with the ownership
United fans have started to become tired with the ownership and the fact people are losing their jobs to save money, especially given the poor on-field performances.
Supporters have claimed the situation is “getting embarrassing” while the club was branded “shameless.”
