Man United fans respond after Jamie Carragher ‘destroys’ De Ligt
Man United supporters have been responding to Jamie Carragher’s Monday Night Football analysis after he “destroyed” Matthijs de Ligt.
The Sky Sports pundit was reflecting on United’s 3-0 loss against Tottenham on Sunday (30 September), and he chose to highlight the 25-year-old’s performance live on air on Monday.
The former Liverpool and England centre-back gave his opinion on De Ligt’s performance, claiming he has caused “lots of problems structurally” for the team.
De Ligt moved to Old Trafford during the summer from Bayern Munich to reunite with his former manager Erik ten Hag.
The Netherlands international has played in all six of United’s Premier League games this season and scored once.
United fans have found themselves agreeing with Carragher’s opinions on De Ligt’s performance against Spurs, which saw the team struggle.

Carragher’s analytic piece went into detail about all of De Ligt’s faults against Spurs, and many fans believe he “exposed” the defender.
Not every United fan is willing to accept Carragher’s points, with some claiming he wasn’t as good as De Ligt during his own career.
