Man United fans say the same thing about Frimpong signing after Romano reveal

Man United are ready to hit the restart button under Ruben Amorim after a forgettable 2024-25 campaign, as supporters are eagerly looking ahead to the summer transfer window.

Amorim is currently working with a squad that he didn’t create and players that don’t necessarily fit his style of play or the formation he prefers to execute.

The United boss has made it clear that he won’t budge in that regard, therefore it is going to be crucial that Sir Jim Ratcliffe financially backs him this summer to sign the players needed.

Industry insider Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider that United are keen on a move for Viktor Gyokeres, which would be a huge shot in the arm to their attacking options.

Amorim is said to be the “driving force” behind that interest, with the coach having worked with Gyrokeres at Sporting CP.

However, the 20-time champions are in a position where they need to strengthen all across the pitch to start closing the gap on the clubs above them.

Jeremie Frimpong has Bayer Leverkusen release clause

One player who could be available to buy this summer is Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong, who could fulfill the right-wing back role in Amorim’s system.

Fabrizio Romano revealed the wing-back is someone to watch this summer as he could leave the German side amid interest from so many top clubs.

Man United have been told to agree Frimpong deal

It might not be a simple deal for United to pull off in the summer as Mick Brown revealed Pep Guardiola will make the final call on Man City potentially making a bid for him.

If United fail to win the Europa League then they will have no European football to offer Frimpong either, but fans believe signing him is a “no-brainer.”
