Man United fans stunned by Jamie Carragher’s new Erik ten Hag claim

Manchester United fans were left stunned as Jamie Carragher insisted Erik ten Hag could keep his job beyond the end of the season.

The former Liverpool man went on to explain that the Dutchman could have no complaints if he does lose his job after a “horrific” run of form.

But Carragher claimed (live on Sky Sports, 6 May) that the changes behind the scenes at Old Trafford could put potential replacements off of the job.

It was said that the club may not want to bring in a new manager amid plenty of upheaval behind the scenes.

Fans of several clubs could not believe Carragher’s suggestion, claiming he was “talking rubbish” while others agreed with the idea.
