Man United fans stunned by Ruben Amorim after confession

Man United fans have taken to social media to express their excitement over the new era under Ruben Amorim after his recent interview with Gary Neville.

The 39-year-old takes charge of his first game as the new manager of the 20-time champions for their trip to newly-promoted Ipswich Town on Sunday (November 24).

Speaking to Neville for Sky Sports, Amorim admitted it was hard to leave Sporting CP but felt like Man United was the club for him.

Amorim said, “What I felt at the time, I felt that this is my place. I think it is the right club in the right moment for me.

“It was very tough to leave Sporting, because in the middle of the season, you can say anything, it’s Manchester United, it’s everything, it’s the club that I want, but you are leaving your guys.

“So it was really hard, but I had to do it and I was so happy.”
