Man United fans want Luke Shaw contract ‘terminated’ after devastating update
Man United have had enough of Luke Shaw after he suffered yet another setback in his recovery from an apparent calf strain.
In a devastating update, former Man United chief scout Mick Brown revealed exclusively to Football Insider (November 4) that the club ‘haven’t been honest’ with fans about the extent of the 29-year-old’s latest injury.
The left-back hasn’t played for United since February, missing 37 games across all competitions for the 20-time Premier League champions.
Despite that, he’s managed to feature three times for England, notably playing the full 90 minutes as Gareth Southgate’s side lost 2-1 to Spain in the Euro 2024 final.
Both Erik ten Hag and interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy have been without a natural left-back all season, Noussair Mazraoui has had to fill in while Shaw and Tyrell Malacia struggle to regain fitness.
Luke Shaw on borrowed time at Man United
With the club sitting in 13th after their first ten Premier League games, incoming boss Ruben Amorim will need to evaluate his new squad.
United fans have taken to X, formally known as Twitter, to urge the club to terminate Shaw’s contract with the new era set to begin.
