‘Man United get Jadon Sancho great news after new transfer twist’
Napoli want to offer Jadon Sancho a lifeline this summer in a move which could also land a blow at Manchester City.
Sancho‘s career is currently in limbo after he failed to hit the heights during his season-long loan spell at Chelsea, despite one of his five goals in all competitions coming in their Europa League Final win.
Chelsea paid a £5million penalty to renege on the obligation to buy Sancho they had agreed last summer, and he’ll be on his way back to Carrington for pre-season at a club where he isn’t wanted.
Ruben Amorim wasn’t in post when the Red Devils sent Sancho to Chelsea on what they hoped would become a permanent deal, but the Man United boss still sees him as a player surplus to requirements.

‘Conte makes Napoli goals’ clear’ in shock Sancho twist
Sancho has shown that he’s keen to get a head start on pre-season ahead of his unplanned return from Chelsea next month, but the 25-year-old won’t be in Amorim’s plans at Man United any time soon.
Antony, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho are three other high earners whom fans and Amorim alike want to see sold this summer, but Sancho could now be set for a surprise exit route from United.
On 23 June, Sacha Tavolieri reported for Sky Sport.ch that as Napoli close in on a move for Bologna’s Dan Ndoye, boss Antonio Conte also wants to bring in Sancho to complete his forward line next season.
Napoli will spend £60m on Ndoye and Sam Beukema from Bologna and are yet to launch an approach for Sancho, but Conte’s “goal” is to combine the winger with Ndoye and Romelu Lukaku in his front three.

Man City’s loss is Man United’s gain amid new Napoli priority
Lukaku and Sancho missed one another at Old Trafford by a few seasons, but Conte’s plan to unite the pair up front for the Serie A champions will come as a welcome relief to Amorim and United’s higher-ups.
Napoli had been heavily linked with a move for Jack Grealish after he fell out of favour at Man City last term, but Conte has steered their attention to the other side of Manchester and given Sancho a lifeline.
City are keen to get Grealish off their wage bill after Pep Guardiola left the England winger out of their Club World Cup squad, and Napoli surrendering their position as front-runners will come as a huge blow.
Sancho’s weekly wage packet of £300,000 proved enough to put Chelsea off the prospect of signing him permanently, but the fact this hasn’t deterred Conte is a huge boost for United’s transfer plans.
Man United would likely have to subsidise those wages wherever Sancho ends up this summer, but a club of Napoli’s calibre showing their interest in the unwanted winger is a rare piece of good news for the Red Devils.
