Man United have ‘concrete’ interest in signing 25-yr-old in Jadon Sancho swap deal – sources

Man United have a concrete interest in Borussia Dortmund forward Donyell Malen, sources have told Football Insider.

Jadon Sancho is on loan at Dortmund and Football Insider revealed last week (15 March) that United will look to offload the winger for between £40-50million this summer.

The two clubs could agree a swap deal involving Sancho and Malen in the coming summer window – if they can iron out the finer financial details.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that United are keen on Malen, 25, as they look to strengthen their front line in the off-season.

The Netherlands international can play as a number nine and as a wide man – and sources say his versatility “ticks a lot of boxes” for the Red Devils.

Liverpool have also been linked with a potential swoop for Malen in recent transfer windows and could amp up their interest in the former PSV Eindhoven star this summer.

He has hit 13 goals and notched five assists in 33 appearances across all competitions for Dortmund this season.

Malen joined the German side in 2021 and has played 106 times for the club, hitting 32 goals.

Sancho is playing alongside the 25-year-old in the Bundesliga and has managed two goals and two assists in 10 games since his return to the club.
