‘Man United hit by transfer blow after £20m+ reveal’
Manchester United could be strapped for cash this summer as they look to strengthen their squad in the transfer market.
Ruben Amorim’s side failed to qualify for European football following their miserable campaign, where they finished 15th in the Premier League table.
Man United were beaten 1-0 by Tottenham in the Europa League final in Bilbao last month, ensuring Spurs qualified for the Champions League instead.
Finance expert Stefan Borson told Football Insider United could face a £125million swing in revenue after missing out on Europe.
Amorim is keen to overhaul his squad this summer as he looks to get the club competing back at the top of the Premier League next season.
United have already agreed to sign Matheus Cunha after activating the £62.5million release clause in his Wolves contract.
The deal is expected to be completed once the 26-year-old returns from international duty with Brazil later this month.

Man United transfers could be blocked after £73m reveal
The financial situation at Old Trafford has been hotly debated following the Manchester giants’ recent lack of on-field success.
United posted a club-record revenue of £661.8million in 2023-24, but they recorded a net loss of £113.2million.
The Premier League side have now released their financial results up until the end of March, where they tightened their projected revenue guidance for 2024-25 to £660-670million.
However, United’s cash reserves slipped to £73.2million during the third quarter, marking a £22.5million fall in the three months up until the end of March.
That drop comes despite co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe injecting a further £238million into the club in January as he increased his stake at Old Trafford to 28.9 per cent.
It means United could be short on cash this summer as they look to bring new signings through the door.
The likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford are all available for a transfer to raise funds.
However, moving on Sancho and Rashford in particular could be tricky due to their high wages.

Man United race to sign Bryan Mbeumo
United are looking to agree a deal for Bryan Mbeumo after making him one of their top targets alongside Cunha.
Amorim’s side are understood to have made a £55million bid for the Cameroon international, but Brentford are looking for a fee in excess of £60million.
The 25-year-old winger registered 20 goals and nine assists in 42 appearances in the latest campaign.
