Man United in pole position to sign Antoine Semenyo – sources
Man United have emerged from the pack in the race to sign Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Red Devils have set their sights on the Cherries star as they plot a major overhaul in attacking areas this summer.
It is believed Ruben Amorim‘s side are now in pole position to land Semenyo, 25, this summer.
The Bournemouth star has also attracted interest from Premier League rivals Newcastle and Arsenal after his impressive form in the 2024-25 campaign.
Man United emerge as leaders in Semenyo race
United want reinforcements in wide areas, while it is believed Alejandro Garnacho could be sold for Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) reasons with the winger classed as a home-grown player.
It is believed the Red Devils’ chances of landing Semenyo will be boosted if they win the Europa League and qualify directly to the league phase of the Champions League.

The Bournemouth star has notched 11 goals and seven assists in 40 appearances across all competitions this term – playing on both the left and right flanks.
He is under contract on the south coast until June 2029 after penning a long-term renewal last year (2024).
Semenyo has played 27 times for Ghana, scoring three goals – but will not play in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations as his country did not qualify.

Amorim sack update from Man United
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on Monday (12 May) that Ruben Amorim is fully expected to be in charge at Man United at the start of the 2025-26 campaign – even if they lose the Europa League final against Tottenham.
It is believed the Red Devils have drawn up a long-term plan with Amorim and they are not considering parting company with the Portuguese boss.
United sit 16th in the Premier League table ahead of next week’s final against Spurs in Bilbao.
