Man United make Erik ten Hag sack decision after INEOS talks – Exclusive
Erik ten Hag has been given until the end of the season to prove himself to new Man United investors Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS company, sources have told Football Insider.
The 54-year-old will remain in the hot seat until May at least – unless drastic results force what is now seen as an unlikely change.
It is believed Ratcliffe and INEOS will back Ten Hag for now but are yet to make up their minds on keeping him long-term.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that the new investors are wary about installing a new boss mid-season.
Ten Hag and Man United have won their last three games in the Premier League but are adrift of the fight for Champions League football.

He will have just 12 months remaining on his deal with the Red Devils at the end of the season.
Ratcliffe and INEOS have already made one significant change at the top since their investment – appointing Man City’s Omar Barrada as the new CEO.
Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (14 February) that Newcastle United sporting director Dan Ashworth has agreed terms on a move to Man United.

It is believed the transfer chief will now need to work an extensive period of gardening leave before starting work at Old Trafford.
