Bruno Fernandes
Alongside Ugarte instead of Casemiro in the middle of the park, Bruno Fernandes had an even more important role to play for Man United.
However, Fernandes, who could leave Man United, picked up a first-half injury, in what will be a major blow for Amorim during the festive period.
The Portugal international reappeared to sit on the bench for the second half, but his influence on the pitch will be a miss, with the 31-year-old having contributed five goals and seven assists this season.
Fernandes had 42 touches during the first half, having one shot, and creating one big chance for a team mate.
Mason Mount
Mason Mount was anonymous at Villa Park, with the 26-year-old not as lively or willing to get on the ball as the likes of Matheus Cunha and Bruno Fernandes.
Mount needs to show more in these fixtures for Man United, and the midfielder needs to add more goals and assists to his game.
With Fernandes’ injury, Mount now needs to prove why Man United signed him from Chelsea in his absence.
