Man United refuse to rule out Bruno Fernandes exit after ‘incredible’ Saudi Pro League offer
Man United will not rule out letting Bruno Fernandes leave in 2026 amid ongoing Saudi Pro League interest, according to their former chief scout.
Mick Brown, who worked at Old Trafford for over a decade during the club’s most successful period and remains very well-connected there, exclusively told Football Insider that the 31-year-old made the decision to remain through the summer.
United were prepared to sell the midfielder in the summer window, despite Ruben Amorim planning to keep him, while he rejected offers despite holding talks about a move.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider in May that Man United could accept offers for Fernandes after deciding behind the scenes that £100million would be enough.
However, Fernandes chose to reject Saudi Pro League offers in favour of staying at Old Trafford for at least one more year as he remains a crucial part of their plans.

Man United refuse to rule out Bruno Fernandes exit
Brown previously told Football Insider that United were not prepared to let Fernandes leave, but a big-money offer could change their minds.
The former scout who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment and also worked for the likes of Tottenham, Aston Villa and West Ham, has now explained that the captain remains in control of his future with the club now open to his exit.
“It was Fernandes who decided to stay at United in the summer,” he told Football Insider.
“Man United were open to letting him go at the right price, but he wanted to stay for at least another season and the manager wanted him to stay as well.
“Now that talk isn’t going away and United are still refusing to rule out letting him go. If they get an offer from Saudi Arabia next year, I expect he’ll want to go because the money that is on offer for him will be incredible.
“I understand why he did it this year, he’s in Amorim’s plans and wants to help improve on what happened last season, but that won’t be the same next year.

“I don’t think there should ever have been the chance for Bruno to leave, they should have stepped in immediately and ruled out letting him go.
“But instead they’ve caused disruption in their own camp where he’s been allowed to talk to other clubs and they’ve made it fairly clear that they could let him go.
“When it comes to the end of the season, it’s obviously going to come back up and if a deal comes in that suits United then they’ll go ahead and do it.”
Despite the midfielder’s decision to stay at Old Trafford in the summer window, a move to the Middle East appears to be growing more and more likely.
Fernandes could quit Man United after Saudi Pro League offer
Saudi Pro League clubs have not dropped their interest in Fernandes and remain confident that they will be able to reach an agreement next summer.
Fernandes is also expected to receive offers from the MLS and elite European clubs if he decides to leave Old Trafford, with his future still unclear.
The club are expected to entertain offers should they arrive at the end of the season, despite him having played a key role already for United this season.
Fernandes will decide his future based on what happens this season, with another underwhelming year likely to spell an end to his time at Old Trafford.
With the money on offer in Saudi Arabia, he may be tempted to make the switch regardless, with United also not opposed to cashing in on their star man.
