‘Man United backed to seal quick-fire swoop for Randal Kolo Muani’
Manchester United have set their sights on a move for Randal Kolo Muani as Ruben Amorim vies to strengthen his frontline.
The PSG striker scored eight goals in 16 Serie A appearances on loan with Italian giants Juventus last season.
Meanwhile, Man United need a new forward after Rasmus Hojlund notched just four goals in 32 Premier League outings last term.
The Red Devils have added some firepower to their ranks by signing Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo from Wolves and Brentford, respectively, but still need an out-and-out striker.

Man United urged to seal Kolo Muani move quickly as striker search continues
Amid their desire to sign a new striker, Man United have eyed Ollie Watkins, who notched a strong return of 17 goals and 14 assists across all competitions last term.
Meanwhile, according to The Guardian on Monday, 28 July, Amorim’s men or Premier League rivals Chelsea could beat Juventus to Kolo Muani’s permanent signature.
Speaking about Man United’s interest in the 26-year-old live on talkSPORT [28 July], Andy Townsend said: “He’s played in big games, big matches.
“United have got (Alejandro) Garnacho, (Jadon) Sancho, (Marcus) Rashford all seemingly out the door, all going or have gone.
“That’s an area of the field they have to invest in. They’ve got to go and do something. United took forever to get Mbeumo done. It felt like it took too long. I do think if they identify someone, they need to go and get them, and make it happen a bit quicker.”

The Old Trafford side should not be concerned by the fact that the PSG man has fallen out of favour with Luis Enrique’s men, who arguably boast the strongest attack in Europe, having won the Champions League.
Kolo Muani’s best season was in 2022/23, when he scored 23 goals and produced 14 assists in 46 appearances for his former club Frankfurt.
The 26-year-old has performed well in both the Bundesliga and Serie A.
Meanwhile, he notched nine goals and six assists in his best season with PSG, which came in 2023/24.
His performances in three of Europe’s top divisions suggest that he can make the switch to the Premier League and perform well for Amorim’s side.
