Man United see Leny Yoro deal as a ‘real bargain’ – sources
Man United new signing Leny Yoro is being seen as a “real bargain” by the 20-time champions, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the signing is being viewed as a real coup for United.
The Premier League side confirmed the 18-year-old has signed from Lille until 2029, with United having the option to extend for a further year.
The central defender might have cost £52million, but it’s believed that the transfer could end up being seen as a bargain if he reaches his potential.
His price tag will put him under immediate pressure, but he’s expected to go straight into Erik ten Hag’s starting lineup this season.
There had been expectations that Yoro would sign for Real Madrid, but the Premier League side moved swiftly to complete the deal.
Man United are showing encouraging signs in the transfer window
After several seasons of difficult transfer windows, this move is seen as an encouraging sign for the club in terms of how they’ve gone about their business.
It’s a positive step that United were able to convince him to be part of this new project, especially with interest from other top clubs around Europe.
Sources say that the Premier League giants have learned some lessons from recent transfer windows and are moving quickly to get their targets this summer.

Despite this positive transfer business, Man United are expected to make a “huge” loss on Casemiro this summer.
