‘Man United set for £40m financial boost with new transfer plan revealed’
Manchester United’s new transfer strategy could land them a £40million boost this summer.
United suffered a desperately disappointing season last time out and manager Ruben Amorim is keen to return the club to its former glory.
The Red Devils have been wasteful with their money in recent transfer windows with signings like Anthony, Jadon Sancho and Rasmus Hojlund proving unsuccessful.
Amorim has already spent £62.5m in this window with the acquisition of Wolves’ Matheus Cunha, and according to BBC Sport, a new striker is at the top of his wish list.

United set to make shock move for Everton flop
The Mail have reported [June 23] that United have identified former Everton striker Moise Kean as a potential signing should they fail to land Viktor Gyokeres.
Kean left Everton in 2023 and joined Serie A side Fiorentina a year later and has scored 19 goals in 32 league appearances for the Viola.
The 25-year-old though struggled in the Premier League for the Toffees scoring just two goals in 32 appearances.
United though could save around £40m if they go for Kean over Gyokeres as the Italian has a release clause of £44.5m in his contract.
Gyokeres would be expected to cost up to £85m from Amorim’s former club Sporting Lisbon.

Kean move would signal end of Gyokeres pursuit
Football Insider verdict
United signing Kean would be one of the shock moves of the summer.
This could signal the end of their pursuit to sign Gyokeres as United may not be willing to fork out over £80m.
With Bryan Mbeumo also heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, Amorim is perhaps looking at cheaper alternatives to the Swedish international.
Amorim though could make considerable funds from selling players like Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, who both want to leave the club.
Kean has impressed in his first season at Fiorentina, but his record at Everton was poor.
Appearances | 44 |
Goals | 25 |
Assists | 3 |
Gyokeres is surely still the number one choice with his goalscoring record at Sporting, and past experience working under Amorim, likely to be a greater hit with the United fanbase.
Either way, Amorim needs to sign a striker as United scored just 44 goals in 38 Premier League games last season.
United finished a woeful 15th partly due to their lack of goals.
