Man United are planning to overhaul their squad with multiple big deals under the new Sir Jim Ratcliffe ownership, sources have told Football Insider.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that new technical director Jason Wilcox and incoming sporting director Dan Ashworth are planning to overhaul the “spine” of the United side.
Ratcliffe and his new hires have been unimpressed with the quality running through the middle of Erik ten Hag’s expensively assembled side.
The Red Devils struggled to spend in the January transfer window due to Financial Fair Play constraints but it is believed they will be active in the off-season.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (22 April) that Man United are pushing ahead to agree an early deal with Everton for defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
But it is believed Wilcox and Ashworth are planning further reinforcements across the spine of the team this summer.
Man United sit sixth in the Premier League and will face an FA Cup final against Man City next month – a replay of last year’s final.
The Red Devils were dumped out of the Champions League at the group stage and have scored only 47 league goals this term – the fewest of any top-half side.
